Helen “Toozie” Louise (Lawson) Brummitt, 50, Gate City, VA passed away, Saturday, January 20, 2018.
Toozie was born in Sullivan County, TN on May 22, 1967 and was the daughter of the late Andy Horton and Ival Louise (Culbertson) Lawson.
In addition to her parents, her sister, Patsy Lawson Chandler and brothers, Johnny and Paul Lawson preceded her in death.
She is survived by her sister, Ava Juanita Lawson, Weber City, VA; twin sisters, Cathy Chandler and husband, James, Yuma, VA and Betty Smith and husband, Henry, Yuma, VA; brothers, Jimmy Earl Lawson and wife, Rebecca, Gate City, VA and Andy Horton Lawson, Jr. and wife, Ida, Dungannon, VA; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Gary Hunley officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12:15 p.m. to go in procession to the graveside service.
