Sandra Kay Pendleton Brooks, 69, Gate City, VA passed away Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Mrs. Brooks was born in Sullivan County, TN on October 17, 1942, daughter of the late Robert A. and Martha Dale Mann Pendleton.
She is survived by her husband, Eddie Brooks, Gate City, VA; sons, David Brooks and wife, Cindy, Kingsport, TN and Robert Brooks, Roanoke, VA; grandchildren, Kayla Brooks, Kristen Brooks, Isaac Brooks, Ethan Brooks, and Breeanna Sargent; sister, Barbara McNally, Gate City, VA ; brother, Phillip Pendleton, Kingsport, TN; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Monday, November 14, 2011 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Jeff DeBoard officiating. Judy McConnell will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at the Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at 10:50 a.m. at the cemetery for the graveside service.
