Brian Dale Brooks, 42, Gate City, VA passed away, Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at his residence.
Brian was born in Sullivan County, TN on October 7, 1968 to Roger D. and Beulah Loraine Scalf Brooks.
Brian was a very sweet person. During his entire life he never met a stranger. He loved people and people loved him. Brian loved assembling his model cars and trucks, sometimes just making his own creations. He loved movies, music and video games. He was also a huge Dale Earnhardt fan. He loved to draw and share his creations with his family and friends. Being an artist for sure, his creativity was amazing. And above all, he loved the Lord.
He is survived by his parents, Roger D. Brooks and Beulah Loraine Brooks, Gate City, VA; and his sister, Angie Harris and husband, Kent, Kingsport, TN.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Friday, August 26, 2011 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Juanita S Falin Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Scott Fields officiating. A eulogy will be given by Teddy Pendleton. Tammy Riner will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 27, 2011 at the Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. to go in procession to the cemetery.
