Richard was born in Sullivan County, TN on November 24, 1960 to Clara Taylor Goins and late Arthur Glyn Broadwater.
Richard is survived by his mother, Clara Taylor Goins and step-father, Sam, Nickelsville, VA; grandmother, Ruby Scott, Kingsport, TN; sisters, Rhonda Bradley and husband, Andy, Blountville, TN and Robin Broadwater, Kingsport, TN; brother, Gary Addington, Nickelsville, VA; step siblings, Mike Goins, Nashville, TN and Donna Goins, Kingsport, TN; nieces and nephews, Brandon Bradley and wife, Amanda, Wesley Bradley and wife, Kayla, Jordan Peters, Peyton Peters, Rebecca Goins, and Zack Goins; great nieces, Gracie, Kendall, and Macy; a friend who is like a brother, Rodger Dingus and his dog, Katie.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m., Sunday, December 4, 2016 at Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Steve Collins officiating.
It was the wishes of Richard to be cremated.
