Roy Roger Brickey, 70, Ft. Blackmore, VA passed away, Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, TN.
Roger was born in Scott County, VA on November 3, 1943 to the late Roy Garner and Marie Brickey.
Mr. Brickey was a member of Fellowship Church, Ft. Blackmore, VA and he was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Deanna Frayser Brickey, Ft. Blackmore, VA; mother, Marie Brickey, Ft. Blackmore, VA; son, Lynn Brickey and wife, Lori, Ft. Blackmore, VA; sisters, Patsy and John Perry, Kingsport, TN, Mary Ann and Gary Blevins, Kingsport, TN; sisters-in-law, Kathy and Gale McConnell, Dungannon, VA, Judy and Buford Quillen, Kingsport, TN; brother-in-law, Ross and Angeline Frayser, Kingsport, TN; grandchildren , Mac and Blad Brickey; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Friday, January 17, 2014 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Gene Stallard and. Wayne Stallard officiating. The Quillen Family will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Brickey Cemetery, Methodist Campground, Ft. Blackmore, VA. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Family and Friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12:00 p.m., Saturday to go in procession to the graveside service.
