Danny Sam Brickey, 83, of Dungannon, VA passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at Holston Valley Medical Center.
He was born in Scott County, VA on January 30, 1938 to the late Clyde McConnell and Bonnie Mary (Fields) Brickey.
In addition to his parents, sisters, Billie Taylor and Joy Kinkead, and brother, Ted Brickey also preceded him in death.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 64 years, Shirley Mae (Peters) Brickey; son, Daniel Sam Brickey, Jr. and wife, Angela; grandchildren, Candace Brickey, Dungannon, VA, Samantha Brickey Jones and husband, James, Mt. Carmel, TN; great-grandchildren, Aleara Gabrielle Jones, Keegan Jace Jones; brother, Bob Brickey, Kingsport, TN; sister-in-law, Sue C. Peters, Dungannon, VA; along with several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. at Fincastle Church Cemetery in Dungannon, VA with Reverend Larry Beavers officiating. Durham’s Chapel Quartet will provide the music.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family requests that those who attend the service to please wear a face covering and adhere to social distancing guidelines.
