Mr. Charlie Henry Brickey, 91, Ft. Blackmore, VA passed away Sunday, May 13, 2012 at his residence.

Mr. Brickey was born in Scott County, VA on June 7, 1920, son of the late James S. and Eliza Lane Brickey. He was a member of Fincastle Masonic Lodge #33 for more than fifty years, and attended Gillenwater Chapel Church.

In addition to his parents, his wife, Alta Jo Stewart Brickey, sisters, Stella, Lottie, and Ruth; and brothers, Corbin, James, Junior, and Carl preceded him in death.

He is survived by his son, Jerry Rhea Brickey, Church Hill, TN; daughter, Nancy Faye Nuckles and husband, Billy Joe, Kingsport, TN; grandchildren, Steven Brickey and wife, Tina, Rhonda Dixon and husband, Carlton, Billy Nuckles, II and wife, Trish, Gregory Nuckles and wife, Sarah, and LaRenda Dalton and husband, Chad; great grandchildren, Danielle Brickey, Katherine Dixon, Connor Dixon, Mollie Nuckles, Colby Nuckles, Seth Dalton, Anne Dalton, and future baby Nuckles; brother, Rhea Brickey and wife, Ruth, Ft. Blackmore, VA; sisters-in-law, Emma Brickey, Wanda Stewart Necessary, Helen Stewart Melton, and Faye Stewart Carter; brother-in-law, Mack Stewart; along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at the Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Wrightly Salling and Rev. Terry Rhoton officiating. Bobby Brickey will provide the music.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Grandsons, Great Grandsons, and George Osborne will serve as pallbearers. Mack Summey, John Brickey, Jr., Sammy Estep, John Brown Summey, James "Babe" Lawson, Billy Thacker, Elbert Taylor, Lucian Lawson, Billy R. Trent, and friends from Jerry's Gun Shop will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1:15 p.m. to go in procession to the graveside service.
