Brenda Elaine Mohler

Brenda Elaine Cox Mohler of Hiltons, VA, went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 10, 2024, at Holston Valley Medical Center with her family by her side after a brief illness.

Brenda was born on April 21, 1950, in Jonesborough, TN, to the late Jack and Betty Jean Cox.

Brenda enjoyed spending time with her family, and she loved animals, especially her dogs. She loved dancing, playing with snapchat filters, Willie Nelson, James Dean; and flowers, but her favorite was daisies.

In addition to her parents, her first husband, Henry Mohler; brothers, Chuck and Keith Cox; granddaughter, Dana Elaine Keeling; and great-granddaughter, Sara Grace Keeling preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband, Donnie McMurray, Hiltons, VA; sister, Teresa Tino Gray, TN; children, Robert Keeling, Hilton, VA, Regina Collins, (Tommy), Kingsport, TN, Wesley Mohler (Kathi) Kingsport, TN, Joe Reed (Heather) Kingsport, TN; stepsons, Terry McMurray (Sarah), and Scotty McMurray; grandchildren, Stormy Keeling (Mandi), Brittany Furguson (Josh), Keisha Matheson (Eric), Shiloh Furguson, Alissa Collins, Henry Mohler (Brie), Savana Mohler, Layla Reed, Kinlee Reed, Aaden, Daniel, and Hunter Begley, Cheyenne McMurray, Dale McMurray, and Patience Hutson; great-grandchildren, Brianna Woods, Brendon Woods, Skyler McMurray, Rhylee Hinkle, Bella Trent, and Molleigh Mohler; uncle, Carl Hensley; and her special fur baby, Pudd.

The family will receive friends from 5-7p.m., Friday, December 13, 2024, at the Gate City Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 7:00p.m., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Jeff Millsaps, Rex. McMurray, and Rev. Troy Daily officiating. Jeff Millsaps will provide the music.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00a.m., Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Godsey Cemetery, Hiltons, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:00a.m., to go in procession to the graveside service.
