Charles "Charlie" Edward Bray, 54, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2009 at his residence. He was born July 18, 1954 in Kingsport, TN. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ballard and Virgie Bray, David and Cynthia Fritz. Including his grandparents, he was preceded in death by his uncles, Coy and Ken Bray, Leonard and Tom Fritz and one aunt, Mattie Hollie. Survivors include his father and mother, Duard and Jean Bray, Clinchport, VA; sister and brother-in-law, Karen and RC Lane, Clinchport, VA; brothers, Tom, Rich and Mike Bray, all of Clinchport, VA; one niece, Kristy Dockery, Duffield, VA; two nephews, Chris and Josh Lane, Clinchport, VA; one great niece and nephew, Austin and Dakota Dockery, Duffield, VA. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2009 at the Hensley Cemetery, Speers Ferry Community with Evangelist Kenneth Neeley officiating. Pallbearers will be RC Lane, Chris Lane, Josh Lane, Keith Dockery, Keith Phillips and Chris Edwards. The family will meet at the cemetery for the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Gate City Funeral Home, P.O. Box 427, Gate City, VA 24251. Gate City Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Bray family.
