William Joseph (Billy Joe) Boyd, 62, Dungannon, VA passed away, Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Born February 5, 1948 in Lebanon, VA, he was the son of the late Joseph Harrison and Kathleen Hartsock Boyd.
Mr. Boyd was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dungannon, VA and a carpenter with the Carpenters Union Local #319.
Surviving is his wife, Alleen Hartsock Boyd, Dungannon, VA; Cassie Boyd and Crystal Boyd, both of Dungannon, VA, grandchildren, Bryson and Callie; his brother, Tom Boyd and wife, Lou, Abingdon, VA; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Friday, September 17, 2010 at the First Baptist Church of Dungannon, VA. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. with the Rev. Larry Beavers officiating. The church choir will provide the music with Diane Dorton as the pianist.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Temple Hill Memorial Gardens, Castlewood, VA. Deacons of the church and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Clinch River Health Service and A-300-33 Hall nursing staff at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center for their care and support.
