Madge Estepp Boy, 88, Gate City, VA passed away Monday, November 26, 2012 at Brookhaven Manor.
Mrs. Boy was born in Scott County, VA on September 8, 1924 to the late Elbert Martin and Maggie Louise Lane Estepp.
She was a 1942 Graduate of Shoemaker High School who was at the top of her class scholastically. Madge was an exemplary Christian and prayer warrior and a fantastic cook who always cared about doing for others ahead of herself.
She loved her family and friends. She was an accomplished musician both on the guitar and piano.
She was of the Pentecostal Faith and a member of Jennings Mission Church of Jesus Christ where she was the music director, and also attended Christian Life Center.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Rev. Hugh L. Boy and sisters, Nettie Bartlett and Claudia Spivey preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter and son-n-law, Pamela and Robert Bellamy, Kingsport, TN; son, Rev. Riley Boy and wife, Sandy, Gate City, VA; grandchildren, Adrianne Gilliam and husband, Jon, Benjamin Bellamy, Shannon Boy, Bryan Boy, Tarrah Boy, and Greg Bartlett and wife, Ginger; great grandchildren, Eden Scott Gilliam, Weston Grey Gilliam, Calista Kels Gilliam; sister, Annabelle Lynch, Gate City, VA; brothers, Clyde Arthur Estepp and wife, Anna Ruth, Gate City, VA and Harmie J. Estepp and wife, Betty, Gate City, VA; along with several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m., Thursday, November 29, 2012 at the Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence of her son, Rev. Riley Boy. Funeral services will be conducted at 6 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Eddie Johnson officiating. The Christian Life Center will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 30, 2012 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Joe McConnell, Ricky Calhoun, Gary Walters, Ben Bellamy, Greg Bartlett, and Roger Estepp will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the graveside service.
