Marlin Edmond Bowen, 83, Loris, SC and formerly of Duffield, VA passed away, Saturday, March 24, 2018 at his residence.
Marlin was born in Scott County, VA on April 2, 1934 to the late Porter and Dora Bell (Vaughn) Bowen.
In addition to his parents, his son, Butch Tabor preceded him in death.
He is survived by his son, Marlin E. (Eugene) Bowen, Sr. and wife, Karen; grandson, Cody Bowen; great granddaughter, Mila Paige Bowen; sisters, Sedy Bledsoe and husband, Kyle and Phillis Sanders; nephews, Kennie Adams, Denny Adams, Matt Adams, and Mitch Bledsoe; and niece, Laura Adams.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m., Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Evangelist Garry Hood and Evangelist Kenneth Neeley officiating.
Burial will follow in the Adams Cemetery, Duffield, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
