Mr. Bowen was born in Scott County, VA on March, 5, 1947, a son of the late Floyd and Gladys Duncan Bowen.
He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Vietnam War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
His survivors include his wife, Linda Tignor Bowen, Duffield, VA; daughters, Sabrina Wells and husband, Vincent, Chester, VA, and Dana Williams and husband, Danny, Gate City, VA; sons, Jeffrey Masterson and wife, Pam, Kingsport, TN, Michael Masterson, now serving with the United States Army in Afghanistan, and Billy Bowen and wife, Tara, Chester, VA; fourteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The family is honoring Mr. Bowen's wishes to be cremated. A memorial service will conducted at a later date by the family.
