Mrs. Frances Rhea Horton Bostic, 87, Clinchport VA, passed away, Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Wilcox Hall of Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN.
Mrs. Bostic was born in Scott County, VA on May 9, 1924, the daughter of the late William Ray Horton and Ethel Jennings Horton.
In addition to her parents, her sister, Mildred Blair, brothers, Robert Horton, Tommy Horton, and James Elmer Horton preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband Vernon Sam Bostic; son, James Miller; daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Miller; granddaughters, Karen Miller and Kim Begley; great granddaughter, Heather Begley; brother, Paul Horton; special niece, Ethel Sexton; special friends, Cole Duncan and Josh Givens; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday, May 5, 2012 in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. George Lane and Rev. Sam Bowen officiating. Durham's Chapel Quartet will provide the Music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Holston View Cemetery in Weber City, VA. Scottie Duncan, Bobby Duncan, Sam Bowen, Billy Davidson, Brad Bowen, Richard Sexton, and Josh Givens will serve as pallbearers. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. to go in procession to the cemetery.
The family would like to express their thanks to her special care givers: Barbara, Anita, Trish, and Mary, along with the hospice care givers at Wellmont.
