Wanda Boggs — 61, entered into Heaven December 12, 2009 at Indian Path Medical Center. She's gone home to be with Jesus free from pain and sorrow. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Jessee and Grace Harris Jessee. Including her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, James Jessee.
Surviving are her husband, Curtis Boggs, Church Hill, TN; sons, Sam Powers and wife, Missy, Greenville, TN, Milford Powers, Jr., and wife, Susan, Kingsport, TN, Benjamin Powers, Kingsport, TN; step sons, Monty Boggs and wife, Shelley, Kingsport, TN, Doug Boggs and wife, Debbie, Church Hill, TN; step daughters, Nancy Dobernic and husband, John, Desoto, MO, Janet Meeks and husband, Ron, Desoto, MO, Ellen Franks and husband, John, Madill, OK, Theresa Harvey and husband, Fred, Mt. Carmel, TN; sister, Alice Hartsock and husband, Harold, Church Hill, TN; brothers, Jerry Jessee and wife, Leona, Norton, VA, Samuel Jessee and wife, Rita, Appalachia, VA; grandchildren, David Powers, Alicia Ferrell, Grace Powers, Kayla Powers, Anthony Powers, Kristian Powers, Benjamin Powers, Jr., Matthew Powers, Bethany and Christopher Morgan; step grandchildren, Michelle Dobernic, Melissa Letner, Sarah Armstrong, Hannah Meeks, Cindy Flanary, Lisa Manning, Curtis Franks, Amy McGuire, Michael Franks, Angela McCany, Melinda Harper, Heather Bland, Rachel Harvey, Randy Boggs, Brent Boggs, Sidney Boggs, Kennedy McKee, Hunter and Riley McKee and Christian McKee; several great grandchildren; one special nephew, Larry Hartsock; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at Christian Life Center, John B. Dennis Hwy., and other times at the residence. Services will be at 7 p.m. at Christian Life Center with Rev. D. Keith Barker and Rev. Eddie Johnson officiating. Music will be provided by Rikki McCugh and Christian Life Center Singers.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at East Lawn Cemetery, Kingsport, TN. The family will meet at the cemetery for the graveside service.
Pallbearers will be Chris Hartsock, Gary Hartsock, John Dobernic, Ron Meeks, John Franks, Fred Harvey, Doug Boggs and Monty Boggs.
