Eva Mae Boggs, age 83, Fort Blackmore, VA entered peacefully into rest Saturday, October 10, 2015. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Isaac Richard Boggs, one son Kenneth Boggs, her parents D.C. and Lucy Dean, two sisters Nina Dean and Laura Gibson, five brothers Albert Dean, William “Bill” Dean, John Dean, R.L. Dean, and James Bradley Dean.
She is survived by her children Billie Jean Greene and husband John, Robert Boggs and Debbie, Debbra Pace and Charlie, William “Bill” Boggs, Ruby Statzer, Sarah Lane and husband Dennis, Sherman Boggs and wife Sandra, Clora Vaughan and Chris, Jessey Boggs, Jamie Boggs and Jason.
She is also survived by two brothers Herman Dean and Sherman Dean, a host of nieces and nephews, 23 Grandchildren and 18 Great-grandchildren.
Preacher Jay Snavely will be officiating. Music will be provided by Toke Hensley and friends Marvin and Susie Leonard.
The pallbearers are John Green, Shane Boggs, Ryan Babb, Dennis Lane, Joe Sanders, Danny Dean and Daniel Dean.
Funeral arrangements will be take care of by the Gate City Funeral Home. Visitation will be held in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel on Monday, October 12 2015 from 5:00-7:00 p.m., with funeral services following.
Graveside services will be conducted at Carter Cemetery in Slant, VA on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at 12 Noon. The family is asked to meet at the Funeral Home at 11:15 am to go in procession to the graveside service.
