Bobby E. Tomlinson – Blackwater, VA

Bobby E. Tomlinson, 79, Blackwater, VA, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2023, at Holston Valley Medical Center.

Bobby was born on January 24, 1944, in Scott County, VA, to the late Benny
Thompson and Macie Tomlinson.

In addition to his parents, his sister, Hazel Bowen; and brother Clyde Tomlinson preceded him in death.

Bobby retired as a contractor inside Eastman Chemical Company after 44 years.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 50 years, Eva Ella Tomlinson, Blackwater, VA; daughter, Katie Chapman (Ray), Blackwater, VA; granddaughter, Katelyn Chapman, Blackwater, VA; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11-1p.m., Monday, October 23, 2023, at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. T.J. Hood officiating.

Burial will follow the services at Adams Cemetery, Duffield, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
