Virgil Lee Bledsoe, 57, Kingsport, TN passed away, Friday, January 10, 2014 at Indian Path Medical Center.
Virgil was born in Scott County, VA on December 25, 1956 to the late H.C. and Lois Ann Bledsoe.
He retired from J.P. Stevens with over 25 years of service and was also retired from Brock.
In addition to his parents, his brother-in-law, Albert Hensley (February 14, 2013) preceded him in death.
He is survived by his sisters, Dorothy Hensley, Gate City, VA, Dorinda Rhoton, and husband, Bill, Church Hill, TN, and Donna Tipton, Kingsport, TN; brothers, Junior Bledsoe and wife, Joyce, Hiltons, VA and Randall Bledsoe and wife, Emma, Kingsport, TN; along with several nieces, nephews, and many friends; his friend who was like a brother, Steve Browder.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Sunday, January 12, 2014 at the Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence of his brother, Junior Bledsoe. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Larry Tolley officiating. The Hensley Family will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 13, 2014 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Keith McConnell, Kevin McConnell, David Bledsoe, Bill Rhoton, Stanley Pruitt, and Dustin Osborne will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12:15 p.m., Monday to go in procession to the graveside service.
