Ronnie Bledsoe – Kingsport, TN
Ronnie Carson Bledsoe, 63, Kingsport, TN went to be with his Heavenly Father unexpectedly at his home, Monday, September 5, 2016.
Ronnie was born in Scott County, VA on June 17, 1953. He was the son of Betty (Salling) and the late Robert Carl Bledsoe.
He graduated from Twin Springs High School in 1971. He went to work at Eastman Chemical Company in June of 1974, retiring in May of 2012 with 38 years of service.
In addition to his father, his brother, Robert Michael Bledsoe preceded him in death.
Surviving is his amazing girlfriend and love, Chris Adkins, Kingsport, TN; daughters, Kristi Fennell, Kingsport, TN, Pamela Bledsoe and Michael Bridges, Kingsport, TN; sisters, Betty Ann and Fred Quillen, Gate City, VA, Sharon And Eugene Baker, Dungannon, VA, Sherry and Dan Calton, Gate City, VA; brother, Tim Bledsoe and Brandy Collins, Gate City, VA; grandchildren, Savannah Fennell and Tyler Bridges ; along with several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, many friends and co-workers.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 -7:00 p.m., Friday, September 9, 2016 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Billy Wayne Arrington officiating. Mickey and Nikki Summey will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 10, 2016 at the Salling-Grizzle Cemetery, Ft. Blackmore, VA. Family and Friends, Brad Housewright, Robert Price, Michael Price, Jonathan Price, Carl Lady, Bob Frasier Josh Bledsoe, and Christopher Bledsoe will serve as pallbearers. His uncles, Bill and Buford Salling, Rick Pendleton, Jim Riddle, Chuck Starnes, Danny Blevins and J.R. Carter will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the Gate City Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m., Saturday to go in procession to the graveside service.
Ronnie was a very giving in person in life, as well as in death. He had requested to be a donor. His giving continues as his donation of tissues will touch the lives of as many as fifty people.
Although he has left us in this world, his spirit and love for people will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him.
