J.E. Bledsoe ? Blackwater, VA Mr. James Everette (J.E.) Bledsoe, Dry Creek Road, Blackwater, VA went unexpectedly to be with the Lord, Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at the Lonesome Pine Hospital in Big Stone Gap, Virginia. Mr. Bledsoe was born in Scott County, VA to the late Enoch and Helen Robinette Bledsoe. J.E. was a loving dad, brother, uncle, and a caring friend. He was a dedicated Christian and attended Roller's Chapel Baptist Church. He enjoyed reading his Bible, playing his guitar and singing. He enjoyed the great outdoors and gardening. He was retired from Robinette Steel in Big Stone Gap and was also a retired farmer. In addition to his parents, Enoch and Helen Bledsoe, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dama Dulaney Bledsoe in 2000, brothers, Hokle, Tom, Sherman, Zack, Burley, Roy and Buren Bledsoe, and sisters, Chloe Deskins, Pearl Robbins, Maude Kaufman, Myrtle Stowe, Berniece Belcher and Gettie Bledsoe. He is survived by his daughter Judith (Judi) Bledsoe and his beloved pets, with whom he made his home in Blackwater, VA, brother, Ben Beldsoe and wife, Odell, Gate City, VA, his sister-in-law, June Dulaney, Duffield, VA; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends, and his special friends and "honorary family", Bill, Barbara and Dakota Pearcy. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m., Saturday, November 29, 2008 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Evangelist Kenneth Neeley and the Rev. Wrightly Salling officiating. Nancy Rhoton, Christine Love and Aubra Hill will provide the music. The burial will follow the service at the Holston View Cemetery in Weber City, VA. His nephews and special friends, Gregory Bledsoe, Larry Bledsoe, Tom Bledsoe, James Moorehead, Kyle Pearcy, Bill Pearcy, Cloise Smith and Craig Mendenhall will serve as pallbearers. W.B. Bledsoe, Mike Carrico, Kenny Fannon, Pat Rhoton, Carl Osborne, Belt Ramey, John Robinette, Elder Greg Hill and the men of Roller's Chapel Church, along with Brother T.J.
