Edna Bates Bledsoe, Duffield, VA passed away, Monday, May 3, 2010 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Mrs. Bledsoe was born in Scott County, VA. She was a Christian wife, a loving mother and mamaw who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and six sisters and brothers.
Survivors include her husband, Elmer Ray Bledsoe, Duffield, VA; daughter, Sue Poteet, Duffield, VA; grandchildren, Tonya Poteet, Johnson City, TN and Candyce Poteet, and husband, Joe Taylor, Charlottesville, VA.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, May 6, 2010 at the Gate City Funeral Home. A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Patricia Dockery officiating.
Following her wishes the body of Mrs. Bledsoe was cremated.
