Bonnie Gilliam Bishop, 90, Jasper, VA passed away, Sunday, December 13, 2015 at her residence.
Mrs. Bishop was born in Lee County, VA on January 8, 1925 and was the daughter of the late Emory and Laura Frazier Gilliam.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Robert “Bob” Bishop; sons, Bradly “Brad” Bishop, Hubert “Shotgun” Bishop, and Ellis Bishop; 2 grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children, Nancy Bishop Fletcher, Hellen Bishop, Gaye Huff, Ruth Bishop and Johnny Bishop; sisters, Marie Bishop and Ruby Rogers; brothers, Elbert Gilliam and Loren Gilliam; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m., Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at the Model Community Church, Jasper, VA and other times at her residence.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 17, 2015 at the Model Community Church with Brother Jackie Frazier officiating.
Burial will follow the service in the Meredith Cemetery, Jasper, VA. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
