Mr. William Eli Berry, 69, Duffield, VA passed away, Friday, June 24, 2011 at Ridgecrest Manor in Duffield, VA.
Mr. Berry was born in Scott County, VA on November 10, 1941, a son of the late Patrick Hagan and Lillian Gertrude Hunley Berry.
A brother, Troy L. Rhoton, and sister, Mary Taylor preceded him in death.
Surviving is his daughter, Eliza Lawson and husband, Tony, Ft. Blackmore, VA; grandchildren, Grace Lawson, Abigail Faith Lawson, and Noah Lawson; sisters, Elizabeth Chafin, Lebanon, VA and Julie Quillen and husband, Patton, Duffield, VA; brothers, Allen Berry and wife, Wanda, Mt. Carmel, TN and Worley Cecil Berry and Kay Street, Jonesboro, TN; special friend, Judy Catron, Duffield, VA; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Monday, June 27, 2011 at the Gate City Funeral Home and anytime at the residence of Eliza and Tony Lawson. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Gary Hunley officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at the Dingus Cemetery in Ft. Blackmore, VA at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 28, 2011. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the graveside service.
