Stella Lane Berry, 82, Duffield, VA passed away, Friday, February 1, 2013 at Ridgecrest Manor, Duffield, VA.
Mrs. Berry was born in Wise County, VA on April 15, 1930 to the late Lee Berry and Sarah Jane Lane.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Ben Berry; son, Frank Matthew Berry; 4 sisters, 8 brothers, and 1 daughter-in-law preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughters, Pricilla Casey and husband, Earl, Church Hill, TN, Janie Jones and husband, Danny, Clinchport, VA, and Flora Smith and husband, Dale, Gate City, VA; sons, Benny Berry and wife, Delores, Church Hill, TN and David Berry, Clinchport, VA; 10 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 3 step great grandchildren; sister, Hazel Darnell and husband, Walter, Lynn Garden, TN; brother, A.L. Lane, Weber City, VA; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Monday, February 4, 2013 at the Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence of her daughter and son-in-law, Janie and Danny Jones and the residence of her son and daughter-in-law, Benny and Delores Berry, Church Hill, TN. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Evangelist Kenneth Neeley and Rev. Otto Gibson officiating. Kaylor's Chapel Quartet will provide the music. Great granddaughters, Elizabeth and Mary Peak will provide a special song.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
