Elizabeth Pendleton Bellamy – Kingsport, TN
Elizabeth Pendleton Bellamy, 90, born April 22, 1926 passed away, Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at the Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, TN.
She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Elizabeth enjoyed tending to her flowers and watching them grow. She loved her dog princess, her protector and companion; along with her family, and her special friends at Carole’s Beauty Shop. She was a member of Higher Ground Baptist Church.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years Herman Bellamy; parents, Arlo and Norma France Pendleton; and her siblings Bernice Solomon, Jim Pendleton, Evelyn Adams, Curt Pendleton, Margaret Sneed and Mildred Templeton.
She leaves behind a devoted daughter and best friend, Diana Bellamy Peters and husband, Ronnie; a loving son, Dennis Bellamy and wife, Teresa; brothers, Rayford Pendleton and wife, Martha, Olin Pendleton and wife, Eula, Eugene Pendleton and wife, Betty; sisters Bennie Bishop and Claudia Byrd; grandchildren, Katrina Bellamy - Hill and special friend, Heather Wallen; grandson, Casey Peters and wife, Jordan; great grandchildren , Isaiha Hill, Callie Sonpon and husband, Ernest; great great grandchildren, E.J., Ami and Ollie; along with a host of nephews and nieces.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m., Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence of her daughter. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, May 22, 2016 in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Stephen Templeton officiating. Amy Bledsoe and Kayla Hale will provide the music.
Burial will follow the service, Sunday, May 22, 2016 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
