Ted Beechard Begley, 75, Dungannon, VA passed away, Monday, October 13, 2014 at his residence.
Mr. Begley was born in Scott County, VA on October 7, 1939 to the late Stonewall Jackson and Ida Mae Baker Begley.
In addition to his parents; his sisters, Oshie Begley Chandler, Bonnie Begley Chandler; brothers, Carl Earful Begley, Cecil “Cossie” Begley and Lawrence “Goodman” Begley.
He is survived by his wife, Nina Lee Osborne Begley, Dungannon, VA; daughter, Jennifer Begley White and husband, David, Mt. Carmel, TN; son, Ted J. Begley and wife, Deborah, Ft. Blackmore, VA; sisters, Dorothy Hicks and husband, Jessie, Clinchport, VA, Alice Dickerson, Big Stone Gap, VA, Opal Durham and husband, Carl, Kingsport, TN, Edith Chandler, Big Stone Gap, VA; brother, W.C. Begley and wife, Doris, Clinchport, VA; grandchildren, Spencer Begley, Hunter Begley, Brady Begley, McKayla Lockhart, Luke Lockhart, Madison White, Dustin White; great grandchild, Natalie Keturah Lockhart; along with several nieces and nephews.
Ted was a retired coal miner, an avid coon hunter and was of the Baptist faith. He was a loving family man and enjoyed long conversations with his many friends.
The family will receive friend from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, October 16, 2014 at the Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence. A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with eulogies being given by Marcie Tate and Rick Begley.
