Mrs. Kathern Lucille Tipton Begley, 61, Dungannon, VA passed away, Saturday, December 10, 2011 at her residence.
Mrs. Begley was born in Scott County, VA on February 18, 1950, the daughter of the late Palmer Tipton and Eliza Elizabeth Necessary.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Starnes, and an infant brother, Timmy Necessary.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph Begley, Dungannon, VA; daughter, Pam Fields and husband, Sam, Duffield, VA; sons, Terry Begley, Duffield, VA and Jerry Begley and wife, Kimberly, Duffield, VA; grandchildren, Paige Fields, Saige Fields, Mallorie, Fields, Cole Begley, Conner Begley, and Brian Austin; sisters, Gladys Begley, Duffield, VA, Gaynell Gillenwater, Weber City, VA, and Peggy Rhoton, Ft. Blackmore, VA; brothers, Bobby Ray Necessary, Weber City, VA and Gary Necessary, Big Stone Gap, VA; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at the Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Terry Rhoton and the Rev. Jack McCracken officiating. Durham's Chapel Quartet will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at the Carter Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. to go in procession to the graveside service.
