Cecil (Tiny) Begley, Sr., 62, Ft. Blackmore, VA passed away, Friday, January 7, 2011 at his residence.
Mr. Begley was born in Scott County, VA on April 20, 1948, son of the late Calles and Lizzie Laney Begley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Annie O'Quinn and Ina Jean Begley, and brothers; Charles (Wig) Laney and Oscar (Tom) Begley.
Surviving are his sons, Cecil Begley, Jr., Dungannon, VA and Jeffery Begley and wife, Teresa, Nickelsville, VA; grandchildren, Courtney Begley, Cindy Begley, Brittany Begley, and Kassie Begley; one great grandson, Jacob Begley; sisters, Gladys Babb, Coeburn, VA and Wanda Darnell, Dungannon, VA; a brother, Jimmie Begley, Coeburn, VA; special friend who was like a son, Kenny Baker; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Sunday, January 9, 2011 at the Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Brother Walker Darnell and Brother James Mann officiating. Toke and the Clinch River Boys will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 10, 2011 at the Begley Cemetery, Ft. Blackmore, VA. Ronnie Laney, Bobby Darnell, Wayne Green, Jimmie Wallager, Billy Joe Begley, Junior Darnell, Terry Begley, and Teddy Darnell will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the graveside service.
