Judy Lynn Barnett (Bowen)

Judy Bowen Barnett, 71, of Gate City, VA passed into the arms of her Savior on December 25, 2018 at her residence.
She was born on July 11, 1947 to the late Mack and Emma Burke Bowen of Gate City, VA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Roy Jack Barnett; infant grandson Ethan Barnett; brother Mack Derl Bowen, and sister Elizabeth Bowen Collett.
She is survived by her brother, Muriel Joe Bowen of Kingsport, TN; son, Roy Michael Barnett; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin Mack and Maria Bledsoe Barnett; son and daughter-in-law, Travis Bret and Marsha Lane Barnett; granddaughters, Emma and Anna Barnett, and grandsons, Mason and Layton Barnett, all of Gate City, VA; special friend Bobby Wise of Bluff City, TN; along with several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
A very special heartfelt Thank You to her friends and caregivers Darlene Smith, Bobby Wise, and Jeanette Clark for all their help during the time of Judy’s declining health.
The services are as follows per Judy’s wishes. Visitation will be from 1pm-3pm, Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Gate City Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted with Brother James Mann officiating.
Burial will follow at Holston View Cemetery. Travis Barnett, Kevin Barnett, Mason Barnett, Layton Barnett, David Collett, Jason Wise, and Danny Kerns will serve as pallbearers. Bo Williams will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
