Faye Barker, 84, Kingsport, TN went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at her residence.
Faye was born in Scott County, VA on January12, 1935, and was the daughter of the late Ora Edgar and Maggie Vivian (Barnette) Berry.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Shurral Stuart Barker; infant twins, Ray and Kay Barker; sisters, Bessie Mae Robinette, Rosa Lee Bledsoe, And Thelma Jean Bledsoe; and brother, James H. Berry preceded her in death.
She is survived by her sisters, Vivian Justice, Church Hill, TN and Mabel Thurman, Rogersville, TN; brother, O.E. Berry, Jr., Duffield, VA; and many loving nieces and nephews, too many to count; along with many other family members.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Monday, July 1, 2019 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Evangelist T.J. Hood and Evangelist Kenneth Neeley officiating. Kaylor’s Chapel will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at the Berry Cemetery, Fairview, VA. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. O.E. Berry, Jr. will serve as honorary pallbearer.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday to go in procession to the graveside service.
