Barbara Hilton Dean – Duffield, VA

Barbara Lou (Hilton) Dean, 75, Duffield, VA passed away, Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.

Barbara was born in Scott County on February 3, 1949, and was the daughter of the late Robert O. and Linda Hilton.

In addition to her parents, her sister Mary Stanley, and brother, Robert K. Hilton preceded her in death.

Barbara is survived by her husband, James M. Dean, son, Dustin Dean, special grandson, Liam Maverick Dean, sisters, Lavada Clasby and Lester Kilgore, Wanda Hubbard and husband, Denny, and Patty Davis and husband, Jerry, brothers, Jessie Hilton and wife, Janet, Charlie P. Hilton and wife, Carolyn, and Terry Hilton and Latasha Robinson, special friends, Jane Bishop, Susie Diaz, and Myrtle Dean

 along with several nieces and nephews, and her animals which she loved very much.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, November 23, 2024, at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Cecil Kerns officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Sunday, November 24, 2024, at the Hall Cemetery in the Stanleytown community of Scott County, VA.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Family and friends are asked to meet at the Hall Cemetery for the graveside service.
