Lerow "Joe" Baldwin, 83, entered into rest Sunday, January 17, 2010 at Wellmont Lonesome Pine Medical Center.
He was born in Tramel, VA May 15, 1926 to the late Willard and Arlie Gibson Baldwin. Including his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Stella Mae Baldwin, Garnie Baldwin, Lottie Belle Baldwin and Faye Baldwin; two brothers, Orville Dale Baldwin and Conoey Ray Baldwin.
Survivors include his son, Danny Joe Hartsock, Wytheville, VA; one sister, Lucille Gent, Nickelsville, VA and one brother, McKinley Baldwin, Walbash, IN; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at Gate City Funeral Home. Services will be 2 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Bro. Fred Starnes and Bro. Gary Akers officiating. Music will be provided by Timmy Baldwin and April McNew.
Due to Mr. Baldwin's wishes, his body will be cremated.
Gate City Funeral Home is serving the Baldwin family.
