Sue Elizabeth Baker, 91, entered into rest Monday, March 3, 2008.
She was born February 24, 1917 in Hawkins County, TN to the late Marshall William Brunner and Tennie Elizabeth Cradic. Including her parents, her husband, Kenneth Baker; sister, Effie Spears; two brothers, Clarence Brunner and Fred Brunner preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter, Betty Baker Smith, Coeburn, VA; granddaughter, Deborah Stallard, Kingsport, TN; grandchildren, William K. Smith, Verlon Gregory Smith and wife, Melissa and Timothy Brian Smith and wife, Vanessa; grandchildren; Tonya Marie Stallard, Leann Rene Stallard, Rachel Nichole Jones; Matthew Washington, William Smith, Natasha Smith, Keith Smith, Nicole Smith, Jennifer Smith, Dawson Smith, Trevor Smith and Cody Smith; great great grandchildren, Joseph Waugh, Allison Jones and Jack Carty; sister, Etta Mae Gillenwater, Weber City, VA.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at Gate City Funeral Home. Services will be at 7 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Johnny Mullins officiating. Music will be provided by her great grandchild, Natasha Smith and a Eulogy will be given by her granddaughter, Debbie Stallard.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2008 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will be meeting at the cemetery for graveside services.
