Lawrence Keith Baker – Gate City, VA
Lawrence Keith Baker, 85, Gate City, VA passed away, July 12, 2015 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center with his loving wife of 55 years by his side.
Mr. Baker was born in Scott County, VA on August 30, 1929 to the late Charles and Florida Baker. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served in the Korean War. He was an electrical engineer and co-owner of Baker Hearing Aid Service.
In addition to his parents, his sister, Charlene Sherman; and brothers, Lee and Joe Baker, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Edwinna P. Baker, Gate City, VA; daughter, Diane Thomas, son, David Baker and wife, Teresa, grandchildren, Sam Thomas and Adam Thomas, along with two nieces and a nephew.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at Gate City United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 5:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. The service will begin at 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gate City United Methodist Church or Scott County Ministerial Association.
