Opal Victoria Babb, 77, formerly of Ft. Blackmore, VA, entered into rest Tuesday, May 20, 2008 in Tipp City, Ohio.
She was born in Scott County, VA July 2, 1930, a daughter of the late Charlie and Maxie Craft Fraysier.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rafford "Elwood" Babb, five brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and James Leach, Sr., Huber Heights, OH; sisters and brothers-in-law, Cricket and Lee Wallace, Blountville, TN, Mary and Don Gillenwater, Kingsport, TN; brother and sister-in-law, Willie "Bill" and Mary Fraysier, Gate City, VA; grandchildren, Nicole and Alan Kearns, James "Jimmy" Leach Jr., and fianc?e, Lela Quarles, great grandchildren, Jacob and Talan Leach, Lily and April Kearns; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday, May 23, 2008 at Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence of her sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Don Gillenwater. Services will be at 7 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Eddie "Sonny" Starnes officiating. Music will be provided by the Clinch River Boys.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 24, 2008 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. The family will meet 10:15 a.m. at the funeral home to go in procession the graveside service.
James Leach, Sr., James Leach, Jr., Roger Fraysier, Lee Wallace, Bobby Frasier and Mack McDavid will serve as pallbearers.
