He was born April 29, 1986 in Detroit, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Harold Howard; sister, Maggie Atkins and brother, Michael Skutnik.
He is survived by his fiancé, Ashley Stewart with future child, Kingsport, TN; daughter, Hannah and son, Jacob; father, Kenneth Atkins, Mt. Carmel, TN; mother, Darline Atkins, Hiltons, VA; sisters, Kyla Atkins and Armando Gomez, Gate City, VA, Kelly Atkins and Chris Patrick, Kingsport, TN, Kandy Atkins and Matthew Genova, Kingsport, TN, Tina Atkins and Roy Lee Phillips, Kingsport, TN; three brothers, Kenneth Atkins and Christina Williams, Gate City, VA, Michael Adams and Tammy Adams, Detroit, MI, Dustie Phillips and Hillary Phillips, Kingsport, TN; paternal grandmother, Vera Atkins, Detroit, MI; nieces and nephews, Julia, Duane, Jody, Kayla, Josh, Nicky, Victorya, Krysten, Mario, Christopher, Khali, Alexis, Kenneth, David, Mikey, Haley Mae, Matthew, Dustie, Brianna, Kaelynn, Parker and Stacy.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at Gate City Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 11, 2009 in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Mitchell Whisnant officiating.
Burial will follow the service at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Lee Atkins, Dustie Phillips, Roy Lee Phillips, Billy Meade, Michael Bird Adams, David Patrick and Chris Patrick.
