Billy Cecil Arrington, 71, Fall Branch, TN passed away, Monday, October 22, 2012 at Indian Path Medical Center.
Mr. Arrington was born in Scott County, VA on June 2, 1941 to the late Enoch and Maudie Bledsoe Arrington. He was a retired foreman with Greif Brothers.
In addition to his parents, 4 sisters and 2 brothers preceded him in death.
He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Lois Ramey Arrington, Fall Branch, TN; daughters, Andrea Begley and husband, Arron, Kingsport, TN, and Donna Williams and husband, Tony, Gate City, VA; sons, Billy Wayne Arrington, Kingsport, TN, Randy Arrington and wife, Patti, Church Hill, TN, Billy Sturgill and wife, Carol, Kingsport, TN, Gerald Arrington, Gate City, VA, and Shannon Arrington and wife, Charlsey, Gate City, VA; 15 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; mother of his children, Bethel Brock, Gate City, VA; sister, Betty Jo Casteel and husband, Frank, Weber City, VA; brothers, Howard Arrington and wife, Berniece, Gate City, VA and Jim K. Arrington, Kingsport, TN; along with several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at the Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. David Salley and Rev. Steve Pate officiating. Joey Strickler, Anna Begley, and Billy Wayne Arrington and Tattered Saints will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the graveside service.
