Lucy Marie Anderson, 86, Ft. Blackmore, VA went to be with the Lord, Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Wexford House, Kingsport, TN.
Mrs. Anderson was born on August 17, 1928 in Scott County, VA to the late Emory and Nannie Fraysier Begley.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Anderson; son, David Anderson; sister, Wilma Begley; brothers, Joe W. Begley and Fred R. Begley.
Surviving are her daughters, Janice and Rick Ball, Kingsport, TN, Wilma Bush, Duffield, VA, Teresa and Carl Dorton, Yuma, VA, Lynn and Jimmy Kilgore, Kingsport, TN, Dorinda and Jimmy Sproles, Mendota, VA; sons, Danny Anderson, Ft. Blackmore, VA, Jackie and Betty Anderson, Steens, MS; sister, June and Hack Vaughn, Kingsport, TN; sister-in-laws, Helen Begley, Weber City, VA, Sylvia Salling, Ft. Blackmore, VA; brother, E.C. (Bill) and Sylvia Begley, Jr.; 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; along with several nieces, nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Monday, July 13, 2015 at Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Jackie Strickler and Rev. James Sproles officiating. Dinah Hicks will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Begley Cemetery, Ft. Blackmore, VA. The grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Members of the Ft. Blackmore United Methodist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:15 for the graveside service.
