Lola M. Allen ? Duffield, VA Mrs. Lola M. Allen, 93, Duffield, VA passed away, Sunday, October 28, 2007 at Indian Path Medical Center. Mrs. Allen was born in South Carolina on December 24, 1913, daughter of the late Cecil and Ota McCoy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Allen, grandchildren, Patricia Robinette and Jeffrey Robinette, sisters, Berniece Shaw, Lillian Edwards and Nadine Hampton and brothers, Emmert McCoy, Frank McCoy, Rudolph McCoy and Clarence McCoy. Surviving are her daughters, June Robinette and husband, Bill, Blackwater, VA, Nell Sloan and husband, Hubert, Duffield, VA, son, James Harold and wife, Elaine, Clover, SC, grandchildren, Donny, Larry and Colleen Sloan and Michael, Chris and Brandon Allen, nine great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, sisters, Dorothy Herrell, Grand View, MO, Jeanette Barnette, Clinton, TN and Naomi Elrod, Jacksboro, TN along with several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 31, 2007 in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Evangelist Kenneth Neeley officiating. Burial will follow at Powell Valley Memorial Gardens, Big Stone Gap, VA. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
