Dolly Michelle Akers, 27, passed away January 25, 2009 at her residence.
She was born in Scott County, VA September 9, 1981. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Carlos James Akers; uncle, Larry Dooley and a host of other family members.
Survivors include her fianc?, Michael Grizzle, Dungannon, VA; three wonderful sons, Daniel Mark Dougherty, II, Gavin Michael Grizzle and Bracken Gage Grizzle, all of Dungannon, VA; two wonderful daughters, Autumn Delp, Dungannon, VA and Taylor Grizzle, Chucky, TN; mother, Pamela K. Akers and step father, Gary A. Akers, Dungannon, VA; father, Daniel J. Akers and step mother, Dana G. Akers, Dungannon, VA; mother and father-in-law, JoAnn and Bill Grizzle, Dungannon, VA; sisters, Tenille M. Akers, Dungannon, VA, Tashina D. Sawyer and husband, Tommy, Ft. Blackmore, VA, Diana N. Akers, Coeburn, VA, Peggy J. and husband, Andrew (Stump) McClellan, Kingsport, TN and Tammy M. Lucas, Dungannon, VA; brothers, David H. Akers, Dungannon, VA, Billy Gray and Scott Paul Akers, both of Kingsport, TN; nieces, Sierra McKayla Akers, Tabitha JoAnn Lucas and Alexys Kristen Arnold; special niece, Mackenzie Faith Dockery; nephews, Austin Blake Lawson, Brayden Allen Sawyer, Xavier Dre Sawyer, Gary Andrew McClellan, Mitchell Edward Dingus, and Michael Caleb Gray.
The visitation hours are from 5-6 p.m. Tuesday, January 27, 2009 for the family only. Visitation for friends and neighbors will be from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at the First Baptist Church of Dungannon, VA and anytime at the residence of Pam and Gary Akers or Michael Grizzle.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at the First Baptist Church of Dungannon with Danny Darnell and Rev. Joe Greear officiating. Music will be provided by Danny Darnell.
Burial will follow the service at Akers Family Cemetery, Flat Woods, VA. Pallbearers will be her family and friends.
