Ruby Adams ? 79 ? entered into rest December 29, 2007 at Brookhaven Nursing Home. Born in Lincoln County, TN she is a daughter of the late Oscar and Laura Bell Taylor.
In addition to her parents her daughters, Robin Brown, Edith Taylor and Lee Adams. Her sons, James Bingham, Lance Adams and Larry Adams. Sisters, Louise Deal, Bessy Hall, Lillie Kapozi, Hanner Horne, Essie Smith and Lucille Cole. Brothers, Clifford, Buford, Mark and Tom Taylor precede her in death.
Surviving are her daughters and son ? in ? laws: Bobbin and Danny Miles of Gate City, VA., Maggie and James Murphy of Rock Island, TN., Mary and Norman Norm of Huntsville, AL., and Ann and Henry O'Neal of Lynchburg, TN. Sons and daughters ? in ? law; Richard Adams of Detroit, MI., John and Alice Bingham of Shelbyville, TN., George Adams of Lynchburg, TN. and Butch and Marty Adams of Smyrna, TN.
2 special grand children she raised, Michael Adams of Detroit, MI. and Dusty Phillips of Kingsport, TN. Sister, Sue Brady of Tullahoma, TN. A brother, Joe Taylor of Tullahoma, TN. 47 grandchildren, 81 great- grand children, several great- great grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews and a host of very special friends.
Calling hours will be Wednesday January 2, 2008 from 10 ?11 a.m. at the Gate City Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Jimmy Gibson officiating.
In Lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Gate City Funeral Home.
