Mrs. Margaret Elizabeth Martin Adams, 95, Gate City, VA passed away, Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Holston Manor, Kingsport, TN.
Margaret was born in Pembroke, VA on October 7, 1918 and became a resident to the area after her marriage. She was employed and retired from Eastman Kodak Company in Kingsport.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Kenneth Adams; son, James Tee Adams; six brothers and five sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Christine Lane and husband, Rev. James Paul Lane; son, Walter Ronald Adams and wife Peggy; daughter-in-law Mamie Adams; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 12-1 p.m., Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the Gate City Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m, in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Johnny Hackney and Rev. Paul Lane officiating. Kayla McMeans will provide the music.
Graveside services will be held at the Adams Cemetery following the service. Grandsons and friends will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Alley Chapel Church 6429 Manville Rd., Gate City, VA, 24251.
