Andrew "Andy" Adams
Gate City, VA — Andrew "Andy" Adams, 22, went to his heavenly home with his loving family by his side after a courageous battle with Cystic Fibrosis.
He was born October 5, 1986. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mary Berry; maternal grandfather, G.H. Berry and uncle, Ralph Berry.
Survivors by his loving mother and step-father, Della Adams and Doyle Calton, Sr., Gate City, VA; two step brothers, Ronald Calton, Weber City, VA and Doyle Calton, Jr., Gate City, VA; sister, Frances Chapman, Nickelsville, VA; several aunts and uncles, Rose and Ronnie Tipton, Gate City ,VA, Bonnie and Robert Gibson, Dungannon, VA, Dollie and Claude Gilliam, Blackwater, VA, Mae Taylor, Duffield, VA, Bessie Berry, Duffield, VA, Shirley Doss, OK, Charles Berry, TN, and Johnny Berry, Duffield, VA; several nieces, nephews and special friends, Holly, Michael and Brandon Egan, of Hunters Valley.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence. Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Evangelist Kenneth Neeley and Bro. Kyle Akers officiating. Music will be provided by New Vision.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 28, 2009 at Berry Cemetery, Fairview, VA. The family will meet at 10 a.m. at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tim Livesay, Jim Berry, Junior Berry, Michael Lane, Adam Berry and Robert Gibson.
Special thanks to Home Health Nurses and Peds floor nurses at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center, Scott County Health Department and to Respicare.
